DRIFT is a night of sonic immersion, where deep frequencies flow through shifting currents of sound and intricate textures float on ambient waves. For the first edition on Friday, April 18, we’re inviting renowned DJs Walrus & Dana Keuhr to play a (mostly) vinyl ambient set inside Wintercircus’ Inner Circle. Also included in the experience is digital artist Dries Depoorter’s massive Recharge XL installation. 

No fixed course. No destination. Just motion. Let go, flow, and DRIFT.

About the DJs

Brussels (but now London-based) DJ and Basic Moves label boss Walrus has spent the past fifteen years challenging our perceptions of club music. A visionary artist with idiosyncratic taste, Walrus is always willing to shift the scales and radically surprise. After taking root in Brussels and releasing on Basic Moves and Die Orakel, Chicago-born Dana Keuhr has been delivering a steady current of both rugged electro excursions and ambient sound journeys, recently setting in motion her sound healing practise called ssoftware.

From April 14 to 21, digital artist Dries Depoorter lets you experience Recharge XL at the Wintercircus Arena – allowing up to 40 people to unplug and unwind. With Recharge XL, you get to charge your phone, but only while also recharging yourself … by closing your eyes!
